Park West – Tennyson

We’re headed further back in PARK WEST into TENNYSON. It’s a bigger area and currently, we’re in a traffic circle of town homes and they range in square feet from 1900-3000 square feet. A lot of them have master down. I like these town homes. I think they really check off a lot of boxes and the price point is still pretty good for what you get. There is a detached garage in the back and a courtyard in between the town home and garage. So, you have a little green space if you’re a gardener, I think they’re good for that.  They have a Charleston look to them with the double porches, the colors and the dormers. Again, we’re in the TENNYSON section and we’re going to drive further back into this neighborhood and the single family homes. These homes are on larger lots, about one quarter to one third of an acre, and most are elevated construction, so you park underneath the house. These are heavily wooded lots in the back and some overlook a tidal creek, so really pretty vistas. In front of us is the crabbing dock and you can fish or crab…..really pretty views there and it feeds out to the Wando River. House prices at the shooting of this video are in the low $500K’s up to over $1 million for the properties on deep water. As you can see, some elevated homes are built next to homes that are not elevated….its an architectural style, called a Lowcountry style home and its not necessarily elevated for flood reasons. These were built by various custom builders. To my knowledge, no production builders developed here. You can see lots that have been on the market have been sold and individuals are currently building. If you can find a lot available, they will probably cost around $250K would be the least expensive and they would go up to around $400K for a lot that has a dock that you could access the creek from.
