Hamlet Square

Hamlet Square is a quaint community where some properties overlook a lagoon or park. In fact there are three neighborhood parks in the subdivision for the homeowner’s enjoyment. Homeowners especially appreciate the quick, direct access to downtown Charleston via Mathis Ferry Road.

All right ya’ll. We’re finally back in the car after a little hiatus. I’m glad to be back on the road. We’re on Mathis Ferry Road in Mt. Pleasant, going under Hwy I-526. Over on the left is East Cooper Hospital, which is fairly new, and we’re turning right into HAMLET SQUARE. And HAMLET SQUARE, is a neighborhood, built around 1996-1999. There are about 40 houses back here. The average square footage back here is approximately 2000-2300 square feet. And mainly, a lot of 3 and 4 bedroom houses. You know, the one thing about this neighborhood is its proximity to 526. We’ll ride through here, you know, ya’ll probably think this is quite an attractive neighborhood, but I think it’s important to remember the proximity to the interstate. You are going to pick up some road noise. I mean it’s not terrible road noise. I can’t hear it right now. There are Victorian, Lowcountry style houses, even some Charleston Singles. Your HOA back here is around $425 a year and you don’t have any amenities; it’s a small little pocket neighborhood, but it’s in a great location. Again, right off Mathis Ferry Road, you can get to downtown Charleston in about 10 minutes. It’s easy access to the beaches. Most everything is in Mt. Pleasant. This is HAMLET SQUARE in Mt. Pleasant SC.
