Glenlake

Glenlake, a subdivision of 107 homes, is located off of Whipple Road. Ideal location to drive to downtown Charleston or quick access to I-526 and Northern Charleston.

All right, ya’ll, so we’re back in the car; imagine that, And we’re in Mt. Pleasant SC and my name is Bob Brennaman and I’m a realtor. And we’re heading off Whipple Road and the first neighborhood you turn off of Longpoint Road, which is GLENLAKE. GLENLAKE is a subdivision of about 107 homes. Again, located off of Whipple Road. We’re probably around 10 minutes or so from downtown Charleston, so a really good location. Most of the homes back here, you can see are a little bit older. They were built in the 1990’s, mainly early 1990’s, some of them finished up in the late 1990’s. And square footage, for the most part are 1500 to 2500 square feet. The thing that I think is popular about this neighborhood for people is, again, it’s location to the beaches and Charleston. There’s a lot of shopping and restaurants around, where we are right now. And even though it doesn’t have an amenity center, it’s in walking distance to the Mt. Pleasant Tennis Center, soccer fields and a play park. You’ve got some stuff you can walk right out to here, as well as being able to access a lot of the things you live in Mt. Pleasant for. Good school district in Mt. Pleasant in GLENLAKE, located off of Whipple Road. Home prices, generally back here in the $300K’s to low $400K’s. It just depends, you know, on the finish levels. A lot of these are updated and the ones that are not updated tend to be less expensive.

We’re moving our way down Whipple Road and we’re taking a break from some of the neighborhoods to ride ya’ll through one of the parks and recreational complexes in Mt. Pleasant, which a lot of people are drawn to Mt. Pleasant because of the rec space. Although a lot of the neighborhoods off Whipple Road, do not have amenity centers, you do have tennis courts, you’ve got soccer fields and this is an older complex, so if it doesn’t show as well on video, the courts are in good shape, which you probably can’t see from the video, but, you know, this was one of the original tennis complexes in Mt. Pleasant and one that I used when I was in college, I played quite a lot. And it was, at one time, the only place in Mt. Pleasant to get your recycling picked up, so I used to bring my recycling over in my car. But again, this is right off Whipple Road and this is free access for the public. Some of these courts, you need to schedule, but a lot of them, you can just show up and play whenever you want to. Again, off of Whipple Road in Mt. Pleasant SC.
