Darrell Creek is located just past the Wando High School and is approximately three miles off of Highway 17 North.
The subdivision, with lots of natural areas and live oaks, consists of 291 home sites. Properties reside on larger parcels of land (which is hard to find in Mount Pleasant!) varying in size from .45 to 1.2 acres.
The homes that have been built are all custom, elevated (crawl or raised foundations) properties with pond, creek, marsh and/or wetland views. Several of the creek properties have been approved for private or shared docks. There is no build time requirement for buyers who want to purchase a vacant lot. A
amenities for the subdivision include a pool, cabana, oyster pit/BBQ area as well as a community dock. Source: Bob Lang with the Post and Courier (2/16/02) as well as current info from experience.
