Charleston National is nine miles North from the Cooper River Bridge, six miles from the interstate (I-526) and approximately twelve minutes from the Isle of Palms Beach. 

The semi-private 18-hole golf course designed by Rees Jones has been nationally acclaimed and has won numerous awards. The subdivision is broken down into several small communities that are all unique. From the condos known as the Legends to the deep water homes of Victory Pointe, this subdivision has something for everyone. 

The subdivision is located along the intracoastal waterway and has natural wetlands, lagoons, and grand oak trees. Owners can become members (for a fee) of the golf club as well as the fitness center. But all homeowners can use the swimming pool and tennis courts.

Charleston Nationals homes were built by custom builders, local tract builders as well as national home builders. In The Gallery subsection of Charleston National you will find some homes built by national home builder, Centex. Centex built the Lowcountry Series homes which were created especially for coastal South Carolina and feature drive-under garages, wide porches, dormer windows, and high ceilings. 

Here is a little history about the subdivision: The grand opening of the private Charleston National golf course occurred in September of 1989. Shortly thereafter Hurricane Hugo visited and made its mark. The golf course was closed for a year while renovations took place and reopened in 1991 and became a semi-private course at that point in time.
